    A connector for a coaxial cable can be mounted on the cut end of the calbe without preparation, using a special tool. First, a loose clamping ring (9) is placed over the cable, then by using the tool, a block (1) with a sleeve (2) extending from its rear is forced into the core (6) of the cable, making contact with the outer conductor, and at the same time a contact prong (8) integral with the sleeve (2) is also brought into electrical contact with the outer conductor. A second contact prong (5) is passed through the centre of the block so that its threaded end (4) also makes good electrical contact with the inner conductor. Finally the loose ring (10) is clamped around the concentric cable and sleeve portion. A concentric connector can also be secured to a coaxial cable in a similar manner.

    Claim
    A plug-in coaxial cable connector comprising a housing of insulating material, internal and external contact elements connected respectively to the internal and external conductors of the cable, characterized in that, in order to increase reliability, the housing is part of its length on the side facing the cable, made in the form of partially covering the inner contact of the sleeve, the end of which is pointed, the external contact is made in the form of a plug and is located between the housing sleeve and the external conductor on a part of its length.
